CBRE Facilities Supervisor. on-site in Palo Alto, California

About the Role:

Join CBRE as a Facilities Supervisor and play a key role inensuring a multi‑building campus operates smoothly and efficiently.

In this position, you will oversee facility operationsacross a campus 6 buildings. You’ll lead a skilled team responsible forcoordinating on‑site activities, supporting events, and ensuring seamless day‑to‑dayfunctionality. Collaboration will be central to your success—you’ll workclosely with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure work orders andmaintenance tasks are completed accurately and on time.

As a key member of our Facilities Management team, you’llhelp maintain and enhance the performance, reliability, and overall conditionof the campus by overseeing maintenance operations, repair activities, andoperational workflows.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise and coordinate team's daily activities, including scheduling, task assignment, and cross-training to ensure coverage and efficiency, conduct performance reviews to support team development and accountability.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact forescalated communications between landlords, tenants, and service providers,ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting standards are clearly understoodand consistently applied.

  • Organizeand oversee routine maintenance of building equipment to ensure optimalperformance and compliance with safety standards.

  • Partnerwith the Facilities Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute short and longterm projects ensuring timely completion and alignment with site objectives.

  • Analyzework order data and generate performance reports for management, offeringrecommendations to enhance process efficiency.

  • Managejanitorial contract; develop and manage cleaning and disinfecting schedules tomaintain a safe and hygienic environment.

  • Conductvendor evaluations through market research and cost-benefit analysis to supportprocurement decisions.

  • Monitorand track both regular and ad-hoc facility expenses to support budget adherenceand financial planning; assist with budget preparation and process purchaseorders.

  • Resolvecomplex operational issues and identify innovative solutions to meet teamobjectives.

  • Introduceand implement new techniques or processes to improve team performance andservice delivery.

  • Influenceboth team and cross-functional objectives through effective leadership andcollaboration.

  • Ensureall team activities align with and positively impact customer satisfaction andservice standards.

  • Leadby example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, andprovide guidance and mentorship to team members.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED, along with 5+ years of relevant facilities experience. Previous experience as a shift manager or in a supervisory role is required.

  • Familiarity with budgeting principles and financial processes.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Proficient in using a CMMS to track and manage work orders.

  • Strong understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within your area of expertise, with foundational knowledge of related functions.

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and sensitive information clearly and effectively.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related tools.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and a highly inquisitive, analytical mindset.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Supervisor position is $37.00 hourly and the maximum salary for the Facilities Supervisor is $40.87 hourly. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
