Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description
Collaborate with engineers to ensure molds, fixtures, and tooling are properly designed and functional. Report issues for corrective action, follow production procedures, and ensure high-quality part delivery. This is a production environment where you will work with a CNC and specialized tooling to make forms and substrates. Then take the substrates and electronic components to be composed into subassemblies.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineers to design and ensure the functionality of molds, fixtures, and tooling.
Report any issues and initiate corrective actions.
Follow production procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality parts.
Work with CNC machines and specialized tooling to create forms and substrates.
Compose substrates and electronic components into subassemblies.
Support engineers in R&D and production environments by fabricating prototypes and other forms.
Essential Skills
Experience supporting engineers in R&D and production environments.
Ability to fabricate prototypes and work with various materials.
Experience with fixtures, building prototypes, and working with CNC machines.
Knowledge of thermal testing, mechanical engineering, and working with ceramics, polyurethane, and acrylic.
Capability to gain Security Clearances.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
7 plus years of relevant experience.
Experience with thin films and working with machines.
Work Environment
The role requires working onsite, closely reporting to and collaborating with 2 Engineers. You will provide feedback, analysis of work, and offer options regarding the work. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palo Alto, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
