Clinical Support Specialist

Contract role

Location: Bay Area, CA

Pay Range: $25.00–$49.00 per hour DOE

Employment Type: Full‑Time

About the Role

We’re seeking a detail‑driven Clinical Support Specialist to support a fast‑paced laboratory operations team. You’ll process complex diagnostic test orders from hospitals and providers, enter them into specialized software, and assist physicians who need guidance during the ordering process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter complex test orders with a high degree of accuracy

  • Perform sample logging and ensure correct routing

  • Support physicians by troubleshooting ordering issues

  • Manage paper files, controlled documents, and administrative tasks

  • Prepare meeting agendas and support internal communication

  • Handle PHI/PII with strict confidentiality

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; HS diploma required

Experience: Healthcare or lab experience preferred

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and high‑volume data entry accuracy

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent customer service, especially with medical professionals

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑moving environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with EPIC, mTilda, or similar systems

  • Familiarity with document control and healthcare privacy standards

Pay Details: $25.00 to $47.00 per hour
