Honeywell Quality Control Analyst I in Palmetto, Florida

Join our dynamic Honeywell LNG team at the Port Manatee facility as a Quality Planner! In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the highest quality standards in the manufacturing of our state-of-the-art heat exchangers. You will harness your expertise by reviewing quality reports and compiling essential documents for the Manufacturer's Data Report (MDR) submission to our valued customers. Additionally, you will interpret engineering drawings to create precise inspection points on the shop floor, driving quality and excellence in our production processes. Collaborating closely with Engineering, Production, and Procurement teams, you will facilitate effective communication and drive variations to manufacturing requirements, ensuring all processes align with the highest standards of quality by developing a quality plan for shop floor inspections, enhancing and evaluating quality metrics.

In this role, you will also perform internal audits to adhere to ISO 9001 standards and ensuring compliance with quality requirements. Additionally, you will oversee the completion of U2 forms for ASME Section VIII Division 1 vessels to maintain adherence to regulatory standards. You will maintain accurate logs and reports of materials, supporting our commitment to excellence. Furthermore, providing support training for staff on quality standards and procedures will foster a culture of continual improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review quality reports and compile comprehensive documents for timely submission of MDR to customers.

  • Interpret engineering drawings to establish and document critical inspection points on the shop floor.

  • Facilitate and communicate variations to manufacturing requirements effectively between the Engineering group, customer inspectors, and production teams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with design requirements and optimize quality assurance processes.

  • Evaluate current shop floor practices, identifying opportunities for improvement in quality and efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate logs and reporting of materials in collaboration with Procurement and Receiving teams.

  • Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and procedures, fostering a culture of continual improvement.

  • Identify, report, and resolve issues, ensuring that all corrective actions maintain compliance with quality standards

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance.

  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
