Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Company: A1 Electric LLC

Job Summary: A1 Electric LLC is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to perform skilled electrical work in residential and commercial settings. This position is responsible for independently installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems while ensuring all work meets applicable codes and safety standards. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and capable of leading job tasks with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions
• Plan and execute electrical installations according to project specifications
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
• Supervise and provide guidance to apprentices and helpers as needed
• Coordinate with contractors, team members, and clients to complete projects efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State of Alaska preferred)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and plans
• Valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
• Experience leading or mentoring apprentices
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions

Work Environment:

• Residential and commercial job sites throughout the Mat-Su Valley and surrounding areas
• Work performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
