Position Summary
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for supporting of in‑process and final inspections of medical device products to ensure conformance with specifications, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, supporting manufacturing operations, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards.
Essential Functions
Initiate Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) for nonconforming material and collaborate with Manufacturing to contain impacted product
Perform thorough Device History Record (DHR) reviews prior to product lot release
Maintain and accurately record inspection and testing results as part of the DHR
Support evaluation of customer complaints, retained samples, and returned products as required
Process product returns according to established quality procedures
Review, compile, and prepare monthly quality metrics
Conduct periodic audits and facility walk‑throughs to ensure compliance with SOPs and SIPs
Complete all assigned tasks within established guidelines and timelines
Support continuous improvement initiatives and the elimination of waste in processes and methods
Work effectively in a team environment, multitask efficiently, and communicate clearly
Required Skills

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2-3 years of experience in a related document control of quality, inspection, or manufacturing process required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office and inspection-related software systems
Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to prioritize work and exercise judgment with minimal supervision
Proven ability to resolve issues and make sound quality-related recommendations

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00/hr.
