Position Overview
The Training Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring employees receive the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within a fabrication environment. This role works closely with multiple departments to develop, implement, and evaluate training programs that support employee development and operational performance.
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for designing and delivering effective training initiatives that enhance workforce capabilities while promoting a culture of safety, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Development
Partner with managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs across departments.
Develop structured training programs designed to improve employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
Create training materials including manuals, presentations, and instructional guides tailored to specific job functions.
Incorporate industry best practices and standards into training content to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
Training Delivery
Facilitate engaging training sessions for employees using a variety of instructional methods such as presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and hands-on instruction.
Coordinate training schedules and logistics to maximize participation while minimizing disruption to production operations.
Observe and evaluate training sessions to measure effectiveness and gather feedback for program improvement.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all training programs comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
Maintain accurate training records including attendance, completion, and performance evaluations to support compliance and reporting requirements.
Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry trends to update training programs as needed.
Continuous Improvement
Evaluate training outcomes and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with leadership to enhance training programs based on feedback and evolving operational needs.
Research and implement modern training techniques and tools to improve the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Employee Development Support
Provide guidance and support to employees pursuing additional training and professional development opportunities.
Serve as a resource for employees regarding training programs and career development pathways.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and skill advancement throughout the workforce.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience in fabrication processes including welding procedures, blueprint reading, oxy-fuel torch operation, and related shop practices.
Proven experience developing and delivering training programs, preferably within manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments.
Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training methodologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational, documentation, and project management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
Work Schedule
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday
Hours: Approximately 4:30 PM – 5:00 AM
This role offers an opportunity to support workforce development and contribute to the continued improvement of operational skills, safety, and overall performance within a fabrication environment.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
