POSITION: Food Server- Lakeside

SCHEDULE: Full Time

LOCATION: Pahrump, NV (Lakeside Casino and RV Park)

SUMMARY:

As the Food Server, you play a key role in creating a fun and engaging tavern experience by delivering exceptional service and personalized food and beverage recommendations. You are responsible for presenting menus, taking accurate orders, and ensuring each guest enjoys a warm, memorable visit. Your expertise in menu knowledge, drink pairings, and hospitality helps drive guest satisfaction and supports overall team success.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6 months of experience in a full-service dining venue
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
  • Proven experience delivering high-touch guest service in a fun, high-energy environment
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a high-volume setting
  • Comfortable with self-banking and cash handling
  • Previous experience using POS systems, computers, and calculators
  • Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

  • Required based on property location or regional regulations

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently push/pull, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
  • Regularly squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist
  • Occasionally sit and work at a desk or computer
  • Frequently standing and walking
  • Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sound in person
  • Ability to distinguish between shades of color
  • Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
  • Enthusiastically demonstrate knowledge of beer, spirits, and wines
  • Present menus, utilize suggestive selling techniques, and answer guest questions regarding food and beverage options
  • Accurately take beverage and food orders and input into POS system using Universal Seating guidelines
  • Handle payment transactions and ensure correct change or receipt is provided; obtain required guest signatures
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and report concerns to management
  • Assist team members with food running, side work, and drink service when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • Respond to guest inquiries about hotel services and local attractions
  • Ensure all food is served in accordance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
