Motobilt is growing, and were looking for a detail-driven

2nd Operations Technician to join our production team. This role is essential in preparing parts for press brake forming, welding, and final assembly. Youll work with both hand tools and machinery to ensure every component meets our quality standards before moving to the next stage of fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Sand parts by hand and with powered sanding equipment
• Countersink and tap holes in metal components
• Roll sheet metal to specified dimensions
• Perform dimple punching for flush fasteners
• Prepare parts for PEM nut installation and press brake forming
• Inspect parts for accuracy, finish quality, and readiness for downstream operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Skills

• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools (sanders, taps, etc.)
• Proven experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Strong understanding of assembly line processes and manufacturing workflows
• Warehouse experience is a plus
• Ability to read technical diagrams and follow detailed instructions accurately
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork
