TAI Systems Integration, Automation, Controls Engineering - Intern in Owings Mills, Maryland
About the Role:
As a Systems Integration, Automation & Controls Engineering Intern, you will play a hands-on role in connecting every level of industrial operations, from field instrumentation to high-voltage distribution. You won't just be observing; you’ll be an active participant in the engineering lifecycle, assisting in the development of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming while drafting the technical blueprints that bring complex systems to life.

Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:
Researching applicable industry standards.
Assisting with preparing engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs.
Interpreting and applying applicable codes.
Drafting/editing of controls construction drawings in CAD.
Provide support in PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA programming
Assist in conducting detailed field surveys of buildings, structures, equipment, piping and supports and documenting the existing conditions in CAD
Assist gathering quotes for equipment to support proposal development
You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:
Current college student entering their Junior or Senior year, and pursuing degree in Electrical, Chemical, and/or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is strongly preferred.
Programming experience is preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Good verbal and written communication skills, good customer relation skills, a positive work attitude, and willingness to learn new skills.
Self-motivated and able to produce high quality results within time and budget constraints.
Able to work in the office and field, as this is a hands-on internship.
Compensation and Benefits:
