Sevita Program Director (Adult Day Health Care) in Owings Mills, Maryland

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Program Director – Adult Day Health

Location: Rainbow Park Adult Care Center

Address: 11403 Cronhill Dr, Ste D–G, Owings Mills, MD 21117

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | Full-Time (some Saturdays)

Salary: $62,000–$65,000 annually

Language: Russian-speaking candidates preferred

As the Program Director , you will oversee the daily operations of an Adult Day Health Program and ensure the delivery of high-quality medical, social, nutritional, and recreational services for participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate program policies and procedures, including assisting with the development of medical day center policies as needed.

  • Establish short- and long-term program goals and manage fiscal administration.

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships to ensure members and their families receive appropriate support services.

  • Oversee staff performance evaluations, training, orientation, payroll, and attendance. Provide recommendations regarding hiring, transfers, promotions, and compensation changes.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with contracted service providers to achieve program objectives.

  • Develop and implement outreach and marketing strategies and evaluate program success in meeting stakeholder needs.

  • Ensure compliance with standards set by the Department of Health and Human Services and other regulatory agencies.

  • Monitor state regulations and ensure required documentation and paperwork are maintained.

  • Ensure staff integrate participants’ age and individual needs into assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

  • Conduct chart audits as needed and oversee program safety procedures and emergency evacuation plans.

  • Manage and coordinate participant admissions and transportation services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Health and Human Services or a related field.

  • Minimum one year of experience working with adults with impairments.

  • Three years of managerial or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and drive results.

  • Valid driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Professional, compassionate, and dependable work ethic.
