Our client, a leader in critical infrastructure management, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician , you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the 24/7 site management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Owings Mills, MD
Duration : 6-month contract
Shift: 12-hour shifts 3 days : Friday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Saturday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Sunday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
What's the Job?
Operate and maintain critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems in the data center.
Maintain a strong commitment to safety and reliability within the data center environment.
Continuously improve operational excellence by adhering to company standards and industry best practices.
Collaborate with a team of Critical Facilities Technicians to ensure maximum data center availability while minimizing risks.
Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls, ensuring optimal performance.
What's Needed?
5-7 years of relevant experience in data center or mission-critical environments.
Prior military or technical school training is preferred.
1-3+ years of experience working in mission-critical environments.
Electrical or mechanical license is preferred.
Basic skills in HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression systems.
