We are currently looking for a Measurement Engineering Supervisor for our Owensboro, Houston,
or Lafayette office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provide leadership that inspires engagement, creates an environment of learning, and
promotes the Boardwalk culture.
Lead the measurement engineering group in the areas of design and technical support.
Coordinating and allocating workload for operational technical support issues.
Develop and maintain measurement and control design philosophy standards.
Support Engineering and Commercial on new and legacy measurement, quality and control
projects.
Support Regional and Area resources on measurement, quality and control projects and
upgrades.
Improve reliability of measurement and control assets.
Coordinate company-wide measurement and control equipment initiatives including flow
computer replacements, flow computer software changes, control valve upgrades, metering
upgrades, etc.
Support LAUF Group and Measurement Analysis through investigative testing and data analysis
with the goal of volume and energy dispute resolution.
Lead research and development initiatives to implement innovative procedures and
equipment.
Participate and seek leadership roles in industry measurement committees.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Gas and liquid measurement and control design experience
Electronic flow computer design and specification experience
Gas and liquid analysis design and specification experience
Measurement and control equipment troubleshooting experience
Measurement and control device station commissioning experience
B. S. Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related field
Ability to review and interpret P&ID drawings, engineering drawing sets and manufacturers specifications
3+ years’ experience including measurement/control equipment and activities with ultrasonic, turbine, orifice, rotary, diaphragm, and Coriolis meters, gas and liquid analyzer equipment, flow computers, pneumatic and electronic flow and pressure control systems design.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Ultrasonic meter software and diagnostic interpretation
Gas chromatograph software and diagnostic interpretation
Advanced Excel skills
Visio or other drawing package capabilities
Leadership experience • Leadership/management training and experience with technical teams
5+ years’ experience including measurement/control equipment and activities with ultrasonic, turbine, orifice, rotary, diaphragm, and Coriolis meters, gas and liquid analyzer equipment, flow computers, pneumatic and electronic flow and pressure control systems design.
Experience with Daniel, Instromet, Sick ultrasonic meters, Daniel, ABB, Siemens chromatographs, Bristol Control Wave, Thermo and Omni flow computers. Globe, ball and flexible element valve operations, spring and pilot loaded relief valve systems.
