Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in safely handling metal products, accurately fulfilling customer orders, and supporting smooth warehouse operations. This position involves unloading trucks, moving steel and other metals throughout the facility, using basic measuring tools, and working efficiently in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Unload incoming mill trucks carrying metal products in a safe and efficient manner.
Load materials into the automated storage system according to established procedures.
Pull and stage customer orders accurately to meet delivery and production requirements.
Move steel, aluminum, and other metals throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment and methods.
Read and use a tape measure to verify material lengths and specifications before staging or shipping.
Operate an overhead crane and/or sit-down forklift when trained and authorized.
Handle materials safely and follow all safety procedures related to lifting, moving, and storing products.
Work safely in a non-climate-controlled industrial warehouse, adhering to all safety rules and guidelines.
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas throughout the shift.
Use RF scanners or similar equipment when required to track inventory and order fulfillment.
Support team goals by working efficiently, accurately, and collaboratively with coworkers.
Follow instructions from supervisors and adjust to changing priorities in a busy warehouse environment.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a warehouse or industrial environment.
Ability to safely handle and move heavy materials such as steel, aluminum, and other metals.
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately to verify material lengths and specifications.
Basic material handling skills, including loading, unloading, and staging orders.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures.
Ability to work Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift experience is a plus.
Overhead crane or side loader experience is a plus.
Heavy equipment operation experience is a plus.
Construction or similar industrial experience is a plus.
RF scanner experience is a plus.
Willingness to pursue job-related continuing education and training.

Work Environment
This role is based in a non-climate-controlled industrial warehouse where temperatures reflect the outdoor weather, being hot when it is hot and cold when it is cold. The work involves frequent movement around the facility, handling metal products, and operating or working near equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, loaders, and automated storage systems. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, providing a consistent second-shift work pattern. Employees are expected to follow all safety protocols, maintain clean and organized work areas, and wear appropriate attire suitable for an industrial warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oviedo, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
