Pay: Up to $35 per hour, based on experience, education, and licensure

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Registered Nurse (RN) to support student health and safety in a school setting in Overland Park, KS. This role is ideal for a nurse who values flexibility, collaboration, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Position Overview
The School RN oversees the application of the nursing process and delivers high-quality student care in accordance with physician orders, professional standards, and Amergis’ philosophy, policies, and procedures. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy learning environment, responding to medical needs, and serving as a trusted liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to students in a school setting
Support students’ physical, mental, and emotional health needs
Respond to medical emergencies and ensure student safety
Manage chronic health conditions and administer medications as required
Collaborate with families, educators, administrators, and healthcare providers
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all professional standards and regulations
Minimum Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Bachelor’s degree preferred
School Nurse Certification, as required by state or contract
One (1) year of school nursing, public health, or pediatric experience preferred
Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR certification, if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable
Current health certificate, per state regulation or contract
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
