Dickinson Financial Corporation Mortgage Loan Processor I in Overland Park, Kansas
Summary :
This position is responsible for providing processing support to the Mortgage Loan Processor II. Once loans are submitted to Processing, it is the level 1 Processor’s responsibility to initiate services, such as ordering title, insurance, verification of employment, and flood insurance, in addition to other tasks based on loan type. This position will prepare to hand the file off to the assigned processor and assist in other capacities as deemed necessary.
Principal Accountabilities :
Receives new loan application files as submitted to Processing and initiates the ordering of title commitment, flood insurance, evidence of insurance, ordering payoffs, verifications of mortgages, and verifications of employment or any other service and documents
Performs an initial review of the file to determine the loan specific needs based on loan type. Ensure accuracy of file and initiate any necessary corrections.
Primary contact for appraisal orders, follow up, receipt and delivery
Upon completion of tasks, submits the loan to the assigned Processor and communicates a summary of completed tasks and important information. Any documents received from ordered services to be included in loan file.
Coordinate a smooth and timely transition to the Processor with the goal of expediting the Processing process.
Effectively manages an assigned pipeline of loans to ensure all documents are received timely in order to meet the strict deadlines required.
Assist other department and fellow team members with their workloads to ensure a smooth production flow for loan applications.
Other duties as assigned by management team.
Regular attendance required, working at the work site during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.

High School diploma is required.
1-2 years of experience in processing mortgage loan applications is required.
Previous use and exposure to Encompass loan operating system (LOS) and automated underwriting systems (AUS) is preferred.
This position may require S.A.F.E. registration. All associates who will be engaged in residential mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements.
Physical Requirements:
The work environment is typical of a standard office setting. The position is sedentary, exerting 0 – 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. It involves sitting most of the time but may also involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Reaching may be required involving extending arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone will be used requiring the use of hands and fingers to manipulate a keyboard or keypad. Visual ability to read a computer screen or written documents is necessary. Speaking ability to express or exchange ideas; impart oral information to customers or to the public; or convey detailed or important spoken instructions by means of the spoken word is required. Hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication.
