Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
Ensure a positive, quality patient clinical experience during patient office visits through basic education of patients and families. Collaborate with physicians and staff while ensuring detailed documentation and recording in the EMR. Work collaboratively with various providers and in various locations in a team approach to promote timely access to appropriate care.
Responsibilities
Manage the full patient experience, including rooming patients, updating charts, taking vitals, assisting with scheduling and referrals.
Provide demonstrations and patient education as needed.
Network with external resources on the patient’s behalf and work with insurance companies and referral groups to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care.
Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive and professional impact on all patients, visitors, referral sources, and other members of the public.
Provide a high level of professional support and assistance to all patients, physicians, providers, and staff.
Ensure the back office and trafficked areas are clean, well-maintained, and support a professional environment for all visitors.
Essential Skills
1+ year experience in primary care
Proficiency with EMR systems
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience in patient care
Phlebotomy skills
Current BLS/CPR certification
1 year of primary care experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR Certification
Minimum of two years of work experience in a medical practice setting
Basic knowledge of CPT/ICD coding
Ability to speak and understand other languages
Preferably possess MA certification
Work Environment
Work Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts. This is a contract-to-hire position located at Roe Clinic. The work environment is professional and supportive, ensuring a positive experience for all patients and staff.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
