Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity within the construction industry, offering a chance to grow in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in QuickBooks and accounting processes while being eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process and match invoices with purchase orders, maintaining organized financial records.
• Perform high-volume data entry tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Utilize QuickBooks to track transactions and update financial information.
• Assist with creating and managing purchase orders; training will be provided if needed.
• Collaborate with team members to support reconciliation processes as responsibilities grow.
• Maintain an organized workspace while adhering to business casual dress codes.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support additional accounting tasks as assigned to facilitate smooth operations. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks software for accounting and financial management.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Ability to handle extensive data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with purchase order processing; willingness to learn if less experienced.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the role.
• Prior experience in an accounting or clerical position is preferred.
