Manager, Manufacturing - Defense Electronics (Day Shift) – Onsite

As our Manager, Manufacturing you will oversee all production activities and supports process engineering group to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective operations. You will lead teams responsible for daily manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement and ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Salary Range: $90,300 - $120,400 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:

Manufacturing Operations

  • Lead daily production to meet schedule, quality, and delivery requirements

  • Develop production plans, staffing strategies, and resource allocation

  • Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in efficiency and cost

  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards

  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing team members

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues

  • Partner with equipment support team to ensure equipment needs are supported for production

  • Optimize processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving

  • Provide recommendations to process engineering group on tools and equipment required for assembly and test

  • Maintain process documentation, work instructions and department procedures

  • Manage the introduction of new products and ensure all resources are available for smooth operation

  • Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions

  • Review business cases and ROI analyses for capital investments, automation, and process improvements

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Foster strong collaboration across production, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions

  • Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment

  • Build relationships that support team success and organizational goals

What You Bring:

Core Skills

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high performing teams

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and foster collaboration

  • Ability to manage conflict constructively and guide teams towards consensus.

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities under tight timelines

  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing, testing and troubleshooting preferred

  • Statistical analysis capability for measurement systems and process trends

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in electronics manufacturing. SMT experience would be ideal.

  • Experience with SAP for production, planning, materials or shop floor processes

  • Knowledge of Agile PLM or similar product lifecycle management systems

  • Exposure to automation or advanced manufacturing technologies

  • Familiarity with PFMEA and control plans is an asset

  • Experience supporting New Product Instruction (NPI) environments

  • Understanding of supply chain or quality systems interactions

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a college or university program in engineering or business administration is required

  • 5-7 Years of experience in manufacturing and leadership

  • Demonstrated success leading cross functional teams

  • Proven track record driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
