The Opportunity

The Manager Franchise Performance & Projects supports operational performance across the GCOC Franchise System while also leading and coordinating strategic initiatives that impact both franchise and corporate locations.

This role combines franchise performance support with cross-functional project management responsibilities, acting as a key coordinator between operational teams, corporate departments, and franchise partners. The position helps drive system improvements by supporting franchisees in achieving operational and financial goals while also leading special projects that enhance operational processes, customer experience, and system performance.

Working closely with leaders across the organization, this role ensures that strategic initiatives are effectively implemented, progress is tracked, and stakeholders across both franchise and corporate environments remain aligned.

Preferred locations are Vancouver, Calgary, or Regina Canada.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Lead and coordinate special projects that impact both franchise and corporate locations, including operations improvements, pilot programs, process changes, or system initiatives. Establish project plans, track progress, manage timelines, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned.

  • Work with franchise owners to review key operational and financial performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives designed to enhance franchise performance.

  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives across multiple departments and business units. Serve as a central coordinator to ensure initiatives are executed consistently across franchise and corporate stores.

  • Coordinate communication and collaboration between internal teams (operations, marketing, training, finance, and leadership) to ensure project objectives are clearly understood and effectively implemented.

  • Monitor KPIs related to both franchise operations and strategic projects. Prepare reports, analyze data, and provide insights to leadership to support informed decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, workflows, and tools used across the system. Develop documentation, guidelines, and best practices to support consistent execution.

  • Serve as liaison between franchise operators and corporate teams to gather insights, communicate operational updates, and ensure feedback from the field is used to inform planning and improvements.

  • Support the design, coordination, and evaluation of pilot programs across selected franchise or corporate locations. Collect feedback, track results, and provide recommendations for broader rollout.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in multi-unit operations, store management, or franchise operations within a QSR, retail, or service-related business

  • Experience supporting operational standards, customer experience, and brand compliance

  • Demonstrated ability to coach store-level leaders on operational best practices and standards

  • Experience implementing new programs, operational processes, or marketing initiatives at the store level

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority to build productive relationship with franchise owners and operators

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

  • Must have full body mobility and be able to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat, and go up and down stairs

  • Must be able to work for extended periods of time with hands above the head while communicating verbally

  • Must be able to use various automotive mechanical tools and a POS computer system

  • Driver's License

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada

  • Must be able to travel utilizing various forms of transportation, including self-drive

  • Must be able to travel to the U.S.

  • Travel 60%
