Intermediate Manufacturing Test Development Engineer - Onsite Position
We have a rewarding opportunity for an Intermediate Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join our world class facility in Ottawa, ON!
You will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting and validating manufacturing test program suites (procedures, hardware, software and fixtures) for electronic board and system level products. You will also have responsibility to develop test software applications to assist with product design verification and support the training and transfer to production of new designs. You will ensure that CW products are fully and properly evaluated, and that they meet CW stringent requirements.

Salary Range: $74,600 - $99,500 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:
Work closely with engineering to design, develop and test new test applications for manufacturing test
Work closely with engineering to ensure test equipment is available and working properly to support the projects
Provide sustaining test support to the manufacturing at test
Support and enhance existing test applications
Apply established development processes and assist in process improvement
Generate complete and accurate documentation to support the test application
Provide input to architecture, design and test coverage reviews (DFT)
Provide input and evaluation of new technologies and products
Keep current with test trends and share knowledge
Provide task breakdowns and accurate estimates for project planning
Create manufacturing test requirements and verify they are met
Support the New Product Introduction process by interfacing with both local and off-site design teams to validate and implement manufacturing test suites into the production facility
Provide mentoring to junior staff
What you Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science with 5 years of experience
Technologist diploma with 8 years of experience in electronic/electro-mechanical environment
Experience with C programming, Python Scripts, JTAG, and Test Executives
Knowledge and Experience with single board computer systems (Intel, ARM)
Experience in Linux OS distributions such as CentOS, Fedora, Rocky and UBUNTU
Experience in Boot loader technology such as BIOS, U-boot, Slim Bootloader, and UEFI” as asset
Development experience with Labview/LabWindows/CVI and TestStand
Able to read and understand schematics
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality and achieving deadlines
