School Occupational Therapist – $50/hr
Location: Oswego, IL
Job Type: Full-time (School-based)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–2:45 PM (30-minute unpaid break)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of School Year
Compensation: $50/hour
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services for students at a public therapeutic day school, as well as the district’s Transition Center (ages 18–22). This role supports a high-needs caseload across K–12 and transition programs.
The OT will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, provide therapy, and maintain accurate documentation in alignment with student IEPs and professional standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide direct therapy services for K–12 and transition-aged students
Maintain documentation per school, state, and federal guidelines
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Communicate progress with staff and families
Ensure compliance with OT professional standards and school policies
Requirements
Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in state of practice
1+ year of OT experience preferred (school experience required)
Current CPR certification, if required
TB test (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray), as applicable
Health certificate, per state or contract requirements
Must meet all state, federal, and local regulations
Must be 18 years or older

Grade Levels: K–12 & Transition (18–22)
Environment: In-person, therapeutic school setting
