Texas Instruments Software Engineer - Radio Software in OSLO, Norway

In your role within our Radio Software team, you will:
Design, write and test embedded software in C for wireless connected devices
Work with hardware and software teams to understand requirements
Implement support for wireless protocols including Bluetooth Low Energy, IEEE 802.15.4, and proprietary RF protocols
Use software development tools and industry best practices to create high quality code
In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) , which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Embedded C programming skills
Structured approach to software development
Technical Skills:
This role covers a wide variety of software development activities, both on and off chip. These are some skills you'll learn throughout your time with us, but if you have experience with some already you'll be off to a great start:
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
Experience with general radio communications
Familiarity with assembly language programming
Experience with ARM Cortex M series microcontrollers
Knowledge of continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or similar
Knowledge of build systems such as CMake or Make
Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
Experience using Docker
Experience with debugging methodology such as
Breakpoints, watchpoints
CPU exception decoding
Single instruction stepping
Soft Skills:
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
