Eaton Corporation Marine Systems Sales Engineer - Norway in Oslo, Norway
What you’ll do:
As a Marine Systems Sales Engineer , you will play a key role in strengthening Eaton’s position in the Norwegian marine market. You will act as the primary technical contact for our marine customers while supporting internal stakeholders across sales, engineering, and project teams. Your mission is to anticipate customer and sales team needs, solve engineering challenges proactively, and ensure a seamless transition from design to delivery.
In this role, you will collaborate on technical specifications for marine projects, prepare proposals and presentations, support customer meetings, and resolve engineering issues related to low- and medium-voltage systems used in marine vessels, offshore platforms, and other specialized maritime infrastructure. The main products are Power Xpert UX medium voltage switchgear and xEnergy Main / Elite low voltage system.
A core priority of this position is the design and specification of Eaton’s low‑ and medium‑voltage system solutions for large and technically demanding marine applications, such as:
Commercial ships
Cruise vessels
Offshore oil & gas platforms
Offshore wind and energy installations
Advanced maritime and port infrastructure
You will tailor system solutions to meet strict technical standards, ensure reliability and safety, and support successful integration of electrical systems into complex marine environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Sales Support
Qualify leads, develop opportunities, and prepare technical concepts and proposals
Support customer meetings, discovery sessions, and technical reviews
Collaborate on marine project specifications and resolve engineering issues
Transfer technical concepts to engineering teams and support bid/no‑bid decisions
Troubleshoot low- and medium‑voltage marine system challenges
Customer & Market Engagement
Manage territory planning with a focus on Norway’s marine sector
Build and maintain relationships with key customers and specifying entities
Conduct regular customer check-ins, business reviews, and follow‑ups
Represent Eaton at marine industry events and networks
Internal Collaboration & Process
Coordinate with sales, engineering, and operational stakeholders
Manage the pipeline, opportunities, and quotations
Handle administrative tasks and documentation
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to standardized specification processes
Qualifications:
Professional Technician, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a justifiable equivalent education
2–5 years of experience in marine projects , preferably in electrical design or project management for large-scale marine applications or equivalent relevant experience
