We are currently looking for an Associate Counsel within our Nordic legal team with a job location in Upplands-Väsby (Sweden) or Oslo (Norway). You will be working with some of the most loved brands in the Nordics such as Freia, Marabou, Toblerone, Oreo, Philadelphia, Oboy, Tuc, and Ritz .
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with some years of experience who enjoys working in a dynamic multinational environment, in various fields of law (e.g. commercial & antitrust, marketing, ESG and corporate law) and wants to work closely with our business stakeholders.
How you will contribute
As Associate Counsel, you will support our business by providing business curtailed strategic legal advice in a broad range of commercial activities, including commercial operations and manufacturing facilities. The initial geographical focus will be Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
You will:
Lead contact with our Nordic Marketing teams ; advising and reviewing marketing & brand initiatives such as campaign structure/artwork, drafting terms for consumer promotions, external licensing and brand usage, ensuring compliance with law and company policies, managing complaints from authorities, initiating and producing guidance documents, assessing data privacy matters, and delivering training
Review, negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial agreements and advising on appropriate management of risk across a range of business areas including Procurement , Supply Chain , and our Production sites in Upplands-Väsby and Oslo
Providing legal support to our Sales Teams on customer agreements including advising on and researching Competition Law issues and delivery of Competition Law training
Being company secretary and related corporate work in connection with our local legal entities
Providing risk balanced legal assessment based on solid understanding of EU and local laws, regulatory requirements and internal policies
Monitoring relevant legal and regulatory developments in the relevant jurisdictions
Collaborating with regional and global legal teams, sharing best practices, advising on local law
Implementing digital legal solutions, focusing on smart and compliant use of AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
What you will bring

Legal experience, ideally as company counsel or associate at a commercial law firm
Strong analytical, strategic vision, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Experience assessing, advising on risk, advising/coaching and dispute resolution
Highest level of integrity and trust; highly credible and willing to express
Resourcefulness, including relevant new technologies and systems.

Education / Certifications: Swedish or Norwegian law degree is required.
Job specific requirements: Ability to work independently,Advanced legal drafting and negotiation skills,Proactive and pragmatic attitude.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience is required, preferably as company counsel or associate at a commercial law firm.Experience in project coordination is meriting.
Language Fluent in English and Swedish or Norwegian (both written and spoken) is required.
