The Director of Marketing and Fund Development is a dual-role leadership position responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive strategies to increase revenue and brand awareness. Key duties include managing donor relationships, fundraising campaigns (major gifts, grants, events), public relations, event management, advertising, and overseeing marketing channels like digital, social media, and communications.
Essential Functions:
Manage external and internal marketing plans and promotions.
Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans for divisions, specific service offerings, events, campaigns, and other initiatives as assigned.
Manage productivity of marketing projects. Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity, analytics, and results.
Determine and manage the marketing budget. Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget.
Create marketing materials for internal and external communication channels, business-to-business and business-to-consumer. Develop concept, interview and photograph persons, write copy, finalize layout, and prepare distributions.
Develop budgets and projections for advertising.
Manage website and social media presence. Work with other departments to create effective copy, identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, work with programmers, and increase search engine optimization. Provide ongoing maintenance of website content including postings, articles, and updates. Manage social media channels and website analytics.
Responsible for public relations programs for each service line, to include media relations and community relations. Create and build brand strategies and name recognition to enhance organizational visibility.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and/or speeches geared toward employees, clients, and members.
Present to community groups and business-to-business.
Plan and execute fundraising events to build community support and engage donors.
Video and photograph events and generate press releases including significant new hires, promotions, awards, events, fundraising/campaigns, new programs and expansion.
Prepare and disseminate information regarding Clarity Care through social media, newspapers, periodicals, television and radio and other forms of media.
Prepare planned giving materials, annual report, fundraising materials.
Establish, coordinate, and maintain a presence in the community through events, networking, advertising, and other means of marketing.
Increase donations to Clarity Care through individual and corporate gifts, fundraising events, endowments, planned giving programs, grant writing and capital campaign.
Manage the donor base program to ensure accuracy of records and donations.
Develop, solicit, and expand the annual giving program through means of bulk mailing, distributing proposals, responding to inquires, and preparing collateral materials.
Monitor, and sustain the organization’s website in coordination with executive staff to present Clarity Care’s story and ensure current and relevant information.
Set quantifiable goals for revenue and engagement in collaboration with executive leadership and the board.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing or related field.
Minimum five years’ experience in nonprofit fundraising, marketing, or business development.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, relationship building, project management, and proficiency in database software.
Must possess a valid WI driver’s license, and ability to meet agency driving standards. Must provide proof of auto insurance.
Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.
