Job Description: (Duties, skills needed, equipment used, etc) Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing daily programs selected by BCBA/BCaBA/QBHP to be beneficial for the client receiving services. Behavior technicians are additionally responsible for reading and understanding the individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and other specific interventions for each client they service.

  • Must be able to frequently walk, run, stoop, kneel, bend and position self, including to block clients from engaging in dangerous behaviors.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have excellent manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
  • Must be able to operate computers and other relevant technology to log data pertaining to sessions.
  • Must be able to frequently tolerate high noise volumes.
  • Must be able to constantly assess the environment and physically adapt to possible crisis situations, including maneuvering/ manipulating objects within clients reach that could interfere with safety. (i.e., moving desks, chairs, playground equipment and small toys that could harm the client or others)
