Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Description
This role provides high-quality laboratory services in a critical access hospital and outpatient setting. The Medical Laboratory Technician performs specimen collection and processing, conducts testing, and ensures proper analyzer and assay performance across multiple lab disciplines. Responsibilities also include accurate reporting of results and routine equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
Collect and process specimens using appropriate techniques
Perform and verify testing across hematology, coagulation, microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis, and transfusion medicine
Accurately document and communicate laboratory results
Perform and document analyzer and assay maintenance
Essential Skills
Strong attention to quality, confidentiality, and organizational standards
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with laboratory systems, EMR, and Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
Phlebotomy skills with a minimum of 250+ draws
Experience in blood banking and urinalysis
Experience with laboratory microbiology
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited program
ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required
Minimum of one year of laboratory experience preferred
Work Environment
The work environment is a critical access hospital and outpatient setting. The schedule consists of night shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with no weekend work required.

This is a Contract position based out of Osceola, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
