Eagle Pointe Skilled Nursing Dietary Cook/Aide in Orwell, Ohio
Eagle Pointe is looking for a dynamic person to join our culinary team. Responsible for preparing and cooking and kitchen sanitation for a wide variety of food for our residents. He/she prepares food according to recipes and plans cooking schedules to meet mealtime schedules and ensures that meals are served in a palatable and inviting manner.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Handles and prepares food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.
Prepares nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as prescribed by the attending physician.
Meets required meal schedules.
Takes accurate measures to avoid food waste, including participating in production meetings with supervisor(s) and use of production sheets.
Properly cares for dietary equipment.
Follows menus and special diet instructions.
Takes food temperatures per policy and insures food items are prepared, cooled and stored in adherence to corporate, local, state and federal guidelines.
Communicates freely with supervisor(s).
Cooperates with other dietary department staff.
Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
Performs other duties as requested.
