Actalent Project Manager in Orrville, Ohio
Job Description
A Program or Project Manager for a New Product Development (NPD) PMO. This role focuses on progressing new and existing business through the engineering lifecycle, managing high‑impact projects that carry significant budget, schedule, and business criticality. Level (Project vs. Program Manager) will be determined based on experience, education, and certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Drive medium‑to‑large NPD and capital projects from initiation through completion
Own schedules, scope, risk, cost, and change management for business‑critical programs
Lead cross‑functional teams across Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, and Service
Build, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules (MS Project or Smartsheet)
Track progress, update plans, follow through on actions, and clearly communicate status and risks
Support technical risk identification and mitigation (strong plus)
Prepare and deliver clear program updates and report‑outs to leadership and stakeholders
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Project Management, or related field)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven leadership in driving timelines, accountability, and cross‑functional alignment
Experience managing schedules, dependencies, and deliverables
Experience in automotive, construction equipment, mechanical products (valves, pumps), or regulated industries
Ability to learn quickly and operate effectively in a mechanical / physical product environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with physical machine design and NPD environments
Lean / Six Sigma exposure and PMP certification are a plus
EVMS not required (non‑DoD), but interest in improving schedule rigor and forecasting is valued

This is a Contract position based out of Orrville, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
