Entry Building Inspector

Clearwater County is hiring a full-time Building Inspector. Employees in this position preform physical building inspections along with a variety of other skills needed; including but not limited to: phone calls on cell phones and office lines, emails, Microsoft office platformslike word and excel, reading numbers and measurements, reading blueprints, data entry, maintaining certification, customer service and professional communication. Minimum qualifications: a high school diploma or GED equivalency, Valid Drivers license, and at least 2 years in a qualifying construction field. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and via email; operate a computer and related office equipment; take directions and operate tape measures, levels, ladders and flashlights. Essential job functions may require lifting/moving 50 lbs., bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching and other physical exertions in an outdoor environment, maneuvering on uneven terrain, inspecting high/low structures, climbing ladders, working with heights more than 10 feet off the ground, working in confined spaces and exposure to extremes of heat and cold. Starting wage is \$17.67 per hour DOE. Benefits include: PTO, paid holidays, paid medical, dental and vision coverage for the employee, along with PERSI retirement
