Parker Meggitt (Securaplane) a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Oro Valley, AZ, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier of camera systems, energy storage products, and security systems in aerospace markets. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Embraer, and Textron, among others
Position Summary
The Test Technician position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and orderly workstation
Maintain an acceptable safety record
Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Willing to learn to test and troubleshoot various products as required
Completes necessary training to maintain knowledge and skills required for job performance
Follow written and verbal instructions
Position requires overtime to production schedules and demands
Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
Self-monitor work progress against fast-paced area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work
Assist with area efficiency and 5S improvement projects
Assist other departments with job duties and tasks, as needed within the scope of expertise
Perform maintenance and alteration tasks in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers instructions for continued airworthiness, services bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA
Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, with limited supervision
Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record
Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings as required

Physical Requirements
Approximately 80% sitting and 20% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities
Lift and Carry up to 35 lbs
Use hand tools, and power tools
Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side
Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
Perform light lifting from floor table and shelf
Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded
Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling
Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces
Typing with computer and keyboard
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications: N/A
Experience: 0-2 years work experience in an electronics Manufacturing/Testing environment (preferably Aerospace)
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourceful, and able to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to read schematics and understand the circuit function
Ability to utilize manual and automated test equipment to test digital and analog circuitry
Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level
