Job Title: Sr Software Test Engineer
Job Description
This onsite position offers a unique opportunity for a Sr Software Test Validation Engineer to take on a strategic leadership role. The successful candidate will serve as the Product Owner for Test, responsible for defining and driving the overall strategy for the testing campaign.
Responsibilities
Define Strategy Vision: Lead the team by translating customer needs into technological solutions and contributing to strategic direction through technical knowledge and creative application.
Own Backlog Prioritization: Manage, build, and prioritize the team's backlog, detail user stories, and coordinate cross-team dependencies in preparation for Program Increment (PI) and iteration planning.
Drive Acceptance Delivery: Formally accept and approve all team features and user stories by leveraging acceptance criteria and a defined definition of done to ensure quality deliverables.
Lead Team Processes: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, advocate for built-in quality and customer-centric design, and participate in continuous improvement activities such as Inspect and Adapt events.
Represent Communicate: Present project results both internally and externally, and communicate complex technical data to diverse stakeholder groups.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing for hardware-integrated systems.
Ability to function as a strategic thought leader rather than a tactical tester.
Experience in an FDA or FAA regulated environment is highly desirable.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the medical device industry is ideal.
Ability to drive strategies and possess strong technical and tactical skills.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position where you will be working in a collaborative environment that encourages cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement. The role requires a strategic approach to testing within a hardware-integrated system context, ideally within FDA or FAA regulated industries.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oro Valley, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $62.00/hr.
