Cognizant Senior Quality Engineering Consultant in Orlando, Florida
About the role
As a Senior Quality Engineering Consultant , you will make an impact by leading quality engineering and transformation initiatives for HVAC, building management, and connected industrial platforms. You will be a valued member of a multidisciplinary engineering and transformation team, working closely with product owners, platform engineering teams, network and telephony specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality connected solutions.
This role blends hands-on technical depth with Agile and SAFe transformation leadership, supporting complex ecosystems that span embedded software, control systems, enterprise platforms, and communication protocols.
In this role, you will:
Lead quality engineering strategy and execution across HVAC, building management, and connected industrial platforms, validating complex, integrated ecosystems.
Apply expertise in software testing, network testing, system integration, and protocol-level validation to ensure reliability, performance, and interoperability across devices and enterprise systems.
Leverage AI-enabled and analytics-driven testing tools to improve defect detection, expand automated regression coverage, and enhance quality outcomes across distributed delivery environments.
Act as a SAFe Practice Consultant, enabling Agile at scale through Lean Portfolio Management, Release Train execution, and Agile governance.
Coach cross-functional teams on quality engineering practices, AI-assisted testing, telephony validation, and protocol compliance aligned to business and operational goals.
Support environments where HVAC platforms intersect with telecommunication, voice, data, and service networks, ensuring end-to-end system validation.
Drive predictable delivery, product quality, and enterprise scalability through a combination of technical leadership and transformation expertise.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring presence 3 days a week at a client or Cognizant office in Orlando, FL or Milwaukee, WI.

What you need to have to be considered
Experience as a SAFe Agile Practitioner supporting scaled Agile delivery.
Strong domain expertise as an HVAC Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Experience as a Product SME or Product Owner, collaborating closely with engineering and business teams.
Solid background in software testing, including system and integration testing.
Hands-on experience with network and protocol-level testing.
Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools.
Exposure to or hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to quality engineering and testing.
These will help you stand out
Experience working with connected devices, IoT platforms, or industrial systems.
Knowledge of telecommunication systems and telephony validation in enterprise or industrial environments.
Proven ability to lead enterprise Agile and quality transformation initiatives.
Experience working in large, distributed delivery environments involving field-installed systems.
Strong stakeholder communication and coaching skills across technical and non-technical teams.
