Job Title: HVAC Technician / Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician / Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role in the future. The role is based in Orlando, FL, and offers free onsite parking for employees. The position requires working from Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm .
Interviews will consist of a first-round virtual interview followed by a second-round in-person interview.
Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across various systems.
Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs for mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire life safety, and control systems to ensure they meet applicable standards.
Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
Recognize dangers and safety hazards, proposing methods to eliminate them.
Essential Skills
Strong HVAC background with chiller experience.
Ability to work independently.
Customer service qualities for client-facing roles.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2-4 years of experience preferred.
Experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to analyze the operation of various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to determine causes of problems/malfunctions and take corrective action.
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred: Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $33.00/hr.
