Rogers Lovelock & Fritz Inc. Mechanical Engineer HVAC - Summer Intern in Orlando, Florida

In this role you will

  • Use software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or others) to produce technical drawings and schematics.
  • Assist in the design and modeling of HVAC systems for healthcare and/or federal projects.
  • Help perform HVAC calculations
  • Support the creation of detailed HVAC system designs, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on system integration and equipment selection.
  • May participate in site visits.
  • Research and analyze new HVAC technologies and innovations to improve system performance and sustainability.
  • Work in partnership with a multi-discipline team of engineers, architects, and designers to help produce constructible drawing packages.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Junior or Senior year student preferred.
  • Previous internship or project experience is a plus but not required.
  • Reads and understands technical drawings, schematics, and other relevant reports.
  • Effective communication including verbal, written, non-verbal, and speech.
  • Cooperative attitude and collaborative approach.
  • Open to feedback.
  • Able to respond appropriately to directions and change requests.
  • Critical thinking and reasoning with the ability to forecast and analyze problems and produce solutions.
  • Effective execution of tasks within scope and schedule.
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office.

Amount of Travel Required

This position may require occasional local travel.
