Lead Maintenance Technician
Location: Orlando, FL
Overview
This role supports the operation and maintenance of automated transportation systems in an airport environment. The technician is responsible for ensuring system reliability through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and system modifications
Troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems using schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
Use precision tools (micrometers, oscilloscopes, analyzers, calipers) to diagnose and repair issues
Document all maintenance activities accurately and in a timely manner
Operate central control systems safely and efficiently
Support recovery operations to restore system functionality
Train and mentor junior technicians on maintenance procedures and best practices
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with operational needs to maintain workflow and production schedules
Communicate equipment issues and recommend solutions
Participate in meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
3–5+ years of electro-mechanical or industrial maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience reading schematics and technical documentation
Familiarity with CMMS/MMIS systems
Experience with precision measuring tools
Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain airport security clearance
Ability to pass background, drug screening, and physical requirements
Strong English communication skills
Education
Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field (or equivalent experience)
Technical certifications in aviation, automotive, or electro-mechanical fields preferred
Work Environment
Industrial/airport setting with moving mechanical systems
Exposure to electrical systems, temperature variations, and physical demands
Requires lifting, climbing, and working in active operational environments
Compensation & Benefits
$32.16 – $38.79 per hour
