Siemens Energy Field Service Engineer Power Plant Maintenance and Operations in Orlando, Florida

Join our dynamic Field Service () organization, where you will travel to power plants across the U.S. and play a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading some of the largest and most powerful electrical generation machinery in the world, including gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators. As a field engineer, you are responsible for the safe technical execution of the project as well as maintaining excellent customer relationships. As a field project manager, you are responsible for execution of the entire project. Your experience will determine which role to start your journey on.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Developessential skills in equipment operation, maintenance, job site safety,project management, leadership, and Siemens Energy’s business systemsalongside our leading FSE staff.
Supervisetechnicians and mechanics during power plant maintenance shutdowns,addressing both planned and unplanned maintenance outages due to equipmentperformance issues.
Disassemble,inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators, ensuring optimalperformance and reliability.
Collaboratewith our global engineering team to resolve complex technical issues,serving as the primary customer contact during outages to ensure timelyand accurate repairs.
Evaluatecost management proposals, support new products and services, lead relatedspecial projects, and develop planning templates to support field projectmanagers.
Leadinternal projects, facilitate and collaborate in multi-functional teams,and present recommendations up to and including the executive leadershipteam.
What You Bring
A highschool diploma or equivalent experience is required, with 5+ years ofdemonstrated technical leadership in power plant or facilities maintenanceand operations; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Apassion for solving complex mechanical problems using both yourintellect and hands, while working closely with a team and customersto deliver exceptional service.
Aself-starting leader who effectively utilizes available resources tocreate innovative solutions for challenging mechanical issues.
Willingnessto travel extensively, with FSEs typically working up to 250 days per yearfor periods ranging from 2 to 15 weeks at a time.
Excellenttime management and organizational skills.
Abilityto lead teams and collaborate with customers. Excellent writing anddigital literacy and willingness to learn new IT applications.
Abilityto work extended hours of up to 12-14 hours per day during projectexecution. You should also be physically capable of ascending/descendingladders, examining equipment in confined spaces, and lifting boxesweighing up to 40 pounds.

We focus on zero or low emission power generation and manage all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof.
