Engineer - Operations & Maintenance

Location: Orlando, FL

Overview

This role supports critical automated transportation systems that operate in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. The engineer serves as a technical expert responsible for maintaining system performance, resolving issues, and improving long-term reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the performance and reliability of electro-mechanical systems

  • Troubleshoot complex system failures and implement corrective actions

  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions

  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and to standard

  • Maintain accurate records within maintenance management systems

  • Interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams for diagnostics

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to update procedures and documentation

  • Train and mentor technicians on systems, troubleshooting, and best practices

  • Provide leadership support when supervisors are unavailable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • 3–5+ years working with electro-mechanical or automated systems

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, or industrial automation systems preferred

  • Familiarity with CMMS/MMIS systems

  • Strong communication and leadership ability

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to obtain required security clearances

  • Willingness to work in industrial environments with safety requirements

  • Ability to pass background, drug screening, and physical requirements

Work Environment

  • Active industrial/transportation setting with moving systems

  • Exposure to electrical systems and varying environmental conditions

  • Requires physical activity including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces

Pay Details: $86,663.54 to $93,587.64 per year
