The Clinical Research Supervisor provides oversight of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials, ensuring compliance with trial protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines. The role involves mentoring and developing clinical study coordinators and research staff while working closely with Core Managers to schedule clinical operations. The Supervisor assists with the supervision and evaluation of clinical research staff and maintains clinical competencies. This position upholds the dignity and respect of all participants and ensures the safety of care provided.
Responsibilities
Provide effective and compliant clinical research study coordination, including planning, organizing, and managing all activities related to clinical research operations and execution of timelines.
Collaborate with Core Managers to develop and implement processes that optimize workflow and scheduling for day-to-day operations.
Interface with research cores to ensure the initiation and completion of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for supervised teams, ensuring adherence to clinical research operations processes.
Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of clinical operations.
Participate in internal and external training programs to maintain licensure.
Supervise day-to-day activities of the research team, including personnel and staffing schedules.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels, ordering approved equipment and supplies, and maintaining clinical supply areas.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in clinical research and clinical trials.
Experience in oncology and performance management.
Ability to pre-screen patients and conduct clinical studies.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Two years of clinical research experience or experience as a clinical research nurse.
Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) certification.
Current, active State of Florida Nursing License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing.
Five years of clinical research experience with increasing people management responsibilities.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Additional certifications applicable to degree or program (e.g., medical assistant, medical technician, phlebotomy).
Work Environment
The position is based on campus and involves working in various inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. The role requires maintaining a clean and prepared clinical space, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, and practicing Universal Precautions. The work environment emphasizes respect for participants and the safe conduct of clinical operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
