Job Description:

AHMG Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Technological Avenue

3451Technological Ave., Suite 15, Orlando, FL 32817

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

  • will float to satellite locations in Kissimmee and DT Orlando

  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals, including nurses and physician assistants, to perform procedures and treatments.

  • Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and medical procedures.

  • Obtains patient vitals and reason for visit.

  • Provides patient care in the clinic setting under the guidance of the provider.

  • Accurately documents medical visits and procedures performed by surgeons and family practice providers, including patient medical history, physical exams, procedures, treatments, and patient education.

  • Records physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions, and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up.

  • Prepares referral letters as directed by the physician. Spots and corrects mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation to reduce errors.

  • Ensures all clinical data, lab results, and physician interpretations are accurately recorded in the medical record.

  • Collects, organizes, and catalogs data for physician quality reporting systems and other quality improvement efforts.

  • Assists in developing and maintaining systems to track patient follow-up and compliance.

  • Provides patient education and explanations of risks and benefits.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge and understanding of clinical operations [Required]

• Demonstrate appropriate documentation skills [Required]

• Knowledge of the healthcare field and medical terminology [Required]

• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ cma experience in the office setting equivalent [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Required]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
