Responsibilities

Under the supervision of an architect, the student intern will:

  • Work alongside architects and designers to create real world construction deliverables for our clients.
  • Through sketches, physical models, electronic models, massing studies, and other visual formats, develop medium to express and communicate design intent to the project team and clients
  • Utilize BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team of architects, engineers, and interior designers to develop world class solutions for our clients. Exposure to team meetings, design discussions, construction document crafting, and overall project coordination; potential for construction site visits.
  • Participate in the preparation of detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans for buildings and structures according to specifications provided by architectural staff.
  • Perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project.
  • Assist in design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.
  • Opportunity for building code and other national standard research, area and site requirements review, as well as other technical documents and reports to determine specific effects on architectural designs and planning
  • Assist in design development, drafting, and 3D modeling.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program. Must be at least a rising junior.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to take direction and work self-sufficiently.
  • Passion for innovative design and the built environment.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Previous internship or project experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience using MS 365 Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Revit.

Amount of Travel Required

This position may require occasional local travel.
