Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Orland, California
Description
Robert Half is partnering with a well-established company that is looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee all financial operations and ensure the accuracy of all accounting and financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented accountant who can manage accounting, compliance, and month end close. Based in Orland, California, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial health and decision-making. Responsibilities:
• Manage financial operations, including general ledger, budgeting, cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, collections, and profit-sharing processes.
• Prepare, review, and present financial reports with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee bank account reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
• Administer insurance renewals for Workers Compensation, General Liability, Umbrella, and other coverages.
• Handle regulatory reporting requirements, including business licenses, permits, and certifications.
• Collaborate with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate tax filings while staying up-to-date on tax laws.
• Supervise payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws and certified payroll reporting.
• Manage company assets such as vehicles and equipment, including tracking, registrations, inspections, and permits.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company resources and financial data.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven leadership experience in managing accounting teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
