Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role involves a balanced mix of inbound receiving and outbound shipping activities, working closely with the Quality Assurance and Assembly teams to ensure seamless operations. The position is hands-on and highly system-driven, requiring meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming tools and parts, verifying counts, documentation, and condition.
Route all incoming tools/parts to QA for quality checks and assembly readiness.
Use a pick list to separate and segregate parts versus tools, staging items for kit-building.
Maintain accurate system transactions in Globe (inventory) and file packing/receiving records in Synergy.
Pick, pull, and pack orders per customer specifications documented in Synergy.
Generate accurate shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with destination requirements.
Complete applicable government documentation and certificates for qualifying orders.
Coordinate with carriers, monitor status to prevent delays, and investigate discrepancies.
Execute inventory movements, adjustments, and cycle counts in Globe.
Maintain clean, organized staging areas to protect product identity and prevent mix-ups.
Support continuous improvement in accuracy, on-time shipment, and documentation quality.
Essential Skills
1–3+ years in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
Computer skills and comfort working in ERP systems; experience with Globe and Synergy preferred.
Experience with commercial invoicing and export/shipping documentation.
Proven attention to detail with the ability to follow pick lists and complete error-free paperwork.
Ability to lift/move packages as needed.
Strong communication and coordination skills across QA, Assembly, and Customer Service.
Familiarity with carriers, shipping platforms, and basic warehouse safety.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Dexterity for handling small parts.
Self-starter, curious, and eager to learn.
Introverted individuals, including gamers, tend to thrive in this environment.
Experience in kitting and assembly.

Work Environment
The role is based in a machine shop primarily working with plastics, requiring regular standing, walking, lifting, and use of material handling equipment. It is a fast-paced, quality-driven setting where accuracy and timeliness are highly valued.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oregon City, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
