  • Build, refine, and support client compliance systems, procedures, and metrics, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 frameworks where applicable

  • Serve as a Senior technical escalation point on complex or sensitive compliance matters

Business Development & Client Growth

  • Strengthen and expand existing client relationships through technical excellence, responsiveness, and sound judgment

  • Support proposal development, scope definition, and pursuit of new or expanded work

  • Identify opportunities to broaden service offerings within existing client portfolios

  • Contribute to client presentations, strategic discussions, and industry engagement as appropriate

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Collaborate closely with internal technical staff and multidisciplinary project teams

  • Provide guidance, informal mentorship, and technical oversight to junior and mid‑level professionals

  • Support internal quality assurance, consistency, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives

  • Demonstrated success in client‑facing, consulting or advisory environments, or a strong understanding of consulting expectations

  • Proven experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and managing audits, inspections, and enforcement response

  • Ability to independently manage multiple compliance programs and engagements simultaneously

  • Strong professional judgment, written and verbal communication skills, and executive presence

Preferred Technical Background

  • Demonstrated depth in one or more core compliance areas such as:

  • AST/UST programs and SPCC

  • Hazardous waste / hazardous materials compliance

  • Working familiarity with additional programs including stormwater (IGP), wastewater, and air permitting

  • Experience developing, implementing, or supporting ISO‑based management systems

Certifications (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Professional certifications such as CHMM, CSP, or CIH are strongly preferred but not required

Work Environment

  • Full‑time position with a primarily in‑office work model

  • Some flexibility for hybrid arrangements may be considered based on seniority, performance, and business needs

  • Travel varies by client and engagement; most work is office‑based with periodic site and client visits

Growth & Advancement

This role is intentionally designed as a Senior leadership position with a clear opportunity to progress into a Principal‑level role. Advancement is performance‑based and tied to:

  • Technical leadership and judgment

  • Client impact and relationship ownership

  • Contribution to business development and practice growth

There is no fixed timeline for advancement; progression is earned through demonstrated results rather than tenure alone.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a Senior EHS and environmental compliance professional who:

  • Thrives in complex, client‑driven consulting environments

  • Can fluidly balance hands‑on technical execution with advisory leadership

  • Is comfortable owning ambiguity and stepping into high‑visibility situations

  • Enjoys influencing outcomes, mentoring others, and being accountable for results

  • Is motivated by long‑term growth, meaningful impact, and leadership opportunity rather than a static role

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base across high‑regulation industries, tackle challenging compliance problems, and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of a growing environmental and EHS practice.
