Job Title: Mech & Robotics Technician - 3rd shift
Job Description
As a Mech & Robotics Technician, you will utilize your expertise to assist the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling and pneumatic systems within the building. This role offers the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will also mentor junior technicians, fostering their growth in the field.
Responsibilities
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
Complete preventative maintenance routines with accurate documentation.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays.
Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility.
Track and store department inventory.
Move up to 49 pounds and stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
Potential travel up to 20% of the time.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
1 year of experience with PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college focusing on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
2 years of experience in repairing material handling equipment.
2 years of experience in conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
1 year of metal and wood fabrication.
1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
1 year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
Project Management experience.
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.

Work Environment
During the first 2-3 weeks, new hires will onboard and complete safety training from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Upon completion, shifts will be from 4 am to 4 pm, with specific schedule adjustments on Wednesdays from 4 am to 10 am. The role includes repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. The work environment may involve small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, long hours on concrete, and wet or uneven surfaces.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.55 - $26.55/hr.
