Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
This Machinist role is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC equipment safely and efficiently to meet the company's quality and production standards. The position involves collaboration with fabrication, assembly, material handling, and machine shop teams, as well as the planning and engineering departments.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain CNC equipment.
Ensure adherence to quality and production standards.
Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, material handling, and machine shop teams.
Work with planning and engineering departments.
Make program adjustments as needed for parts that are out of tolerance.
Essential Skills
Experience with HAAS, manual, and CNC machining.
Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
2+ years in a heavy equipment or manufacturing environment preferred.
Proficiency in making program adjustments and alterations.
Experience with setup, speed adjustments, changeovers, and altering codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with HAAS, Pama, Mori Seiki is beneficial.
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle ad-hoc issues.
Night shift availability.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a fabrication and weld shop, with available hours on the night shift from 6pm to 4:30am, Monday to Friday. An alternative schedule of 12-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday is also available, allowing for Fridays off, with a shift premium of $1.75. Steel toes and metatarsals are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ooltewah, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
