Description
The Project Manager – Client Onboarding is responsible for leading the end-to-end onboarding of new clients, ensuring a seamless, timely, and high-quality transition from contract execution through steady-state operations.
This role acts as the central coordination point between internal operational teams, technology partners, and client stakeholders. The Project Manager ensures all implementations are delivered in alignment with contractual SLAs, timelines, and quality expectations.
This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring strong project management discipline, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent onboarding initiatives in a fast-paced BPO environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage full lifecycle client onboarding and implementation projects
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during onboarding
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables
Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, IT, compliance, and training
Ensure alignment with contractual SLAs, scope, and quality standards
Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues
Facilitate regular client meetings, status updates, and executive reporting
Oversee knowledge transfer, workflow design, and process documentation
Support transition to steady-state operations and ensure operational readiness
Drive continuous improvement in onboarding processes and methodologies
Requirements
5+ years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare services, managed services, or operations environments
Experience in healthcare domains such as managed care, MSOs, utilization management (UM), claims, credentialing, or contact center operations
Proven track record managing client onboarding, implementations, or operational transitions
Experience onboarding clients within offshore or global delivery models
Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, Asana, Jira, or MS Project
Experience in BPO or shared services environments
