Arvato Bertelsmann Senior Maintenance Technician in Ontario, California

This position's primary responsibility is to maintain all conveyance, automation, complete projects, installations, and repairs in all areas as assigned. Coordinate preventative maintenance efforts with other team members. With short notice, respond to facility breakdowns and other emergencies. Coordinate, lead and support advance troubleshooting and repair of complex automated and mechanical systems. YOUR TASKS

  • Perform daily maintenance, installations, and repairs in all areas of the floor as assigned.

  • Respond to all system issues involving conveyors, MHE, sortation and controls (ARMADA, Hardware, Software, etc.)

  • Assists with any infrastructure upgrades along with modifications/repairs to building assets.

  • Basic troubleshooting/diagnose and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of the conveyor system and building components, including but not limited to: PLCs/Controllers

  • High Speed Sortation Systems

  • Material Handling Equipment

  • Industrial Automation (Industrial Wrappers/Carton Erectors/Carton Closers/Carton Wrap)

  • 1D/2D/3D AS/RS and Multishuttle Systems

  • VFDs/MDR/Palletizers/Depalletizes

  • Robotic Systems (Cobots/AMRs/AGVs)

  • Scanners (Cognex/Sick/DataLogix)

  • Power distribution (480/240/120/24)

  • Communication systems (Ethernet/Profibus)

  • Read, understand and explain complex operation manuals, diagrams, manufacturer’s specifications.

  • Ability to support all initiatives related to the day-to-day maintenance/upkeep of the facilities.

  • Perform detailed preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks as directed or with little to no supervision.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complex automation and conveyance systems.

  • Repair, replace and maintain in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.

  • Support coordination of third parties and ordering parts.

  • Interact with manufacturers, vendors, and operations to remedy concerns, offer solutions, or implement modifications. YOUR PROFILE

  • Be knowledgeable and skillful in work related fields including Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, and Distribution Automation.

  • At least 10 to 15 years prior Conveyor Maintenance experience. (Hytrol/Interroll systems a plus).

  • At least 5-10 years of prior Automation repair, diagnostics and troubleshooting experience.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and implement changes to I/O device networks such as Profibus, Data Highway, and CanBus.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize computers/computer-based monitoring equipment to diagnose material handling systems and building automation systems.

  • Must possess strong analytical/problem solving skills.

  • Must have knowledge of commercial power distribution.

  • Ability to coordinate and execute preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance tasks.

  • Able to lead/direct projects and repairs in all areas of the floor as assigned by Manager with little to no supervision.

  • Hourly Range for Ontario, California $30.00- $35.00 per hour
