Responsibilities
TheCorporate Director of Accounts Payable(AP)is responsible for enterprise-wide accounts payable operations, provides specialized expertise to implement software and processes that automate tasks in the accounts payable process, improving efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings. The Corp Director strategically defines the process of using software and technology to automate tasks within the accounts payable department, such as invoice processing, matching invoices with purchase orders and receipts, and payment processing with a goal of reducing manual data entry, minimizing errors, and streamline workflows that will lead to faster processing times and improved financial visibility.
As a corporate leader, this role is based at the Prime Healthcare corporate offices inOntario, CA, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure AP practices align with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
While this may not all-inclusive lsit of responsibilities, below are some key duties and responsibilities of this role:
Oversee enterprise-wide accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals, disbursements, vendor maintenance, and reconciliations.
Lead the design and implementation of AP automation initiatives, including invoice scanning and OCR tools, electronic invoicing, automated workflows, and digital payment platforms.
Collaborate with IT, Shared Services and procurement to integrate AP automation solutions with ERP systems and other financial platforms.
Identify opportunities for automation to eliminate manual processes, reduce cycle times, and increase accuracy.
Ensure timely payment of obligations while optimizing cash flow and discount opportunities through automated tools.
Establish and maintain internal controls that support a secure and compliant automated AP environment.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use analytics from automation tools to drive continuous improvement and decision-making.
Provide leadership and development to the AP team, ensuring staff are trained on automation systems and updated processes.
Support audit and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring proper documentation and system controls are in place within AP automation tools.
Stay abreast of industry trends in AP automation, finance technology, and healthcare financial operations to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.

Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline and 7+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable operations, workflows, and automation technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity. 2. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Lawson, Oracle, Workday, SAP) and AP automation tools (e.g., Coupa, Basware, Tipalti, Kofax, AvidXchange). 3. Expertise in leading Accounts Payable operations organization-wide within a large complex enterprise setting, including evaluation of AP processes, identification of bottlenecks, and implementing process improvements where needed. 4. Possess strategic planning and leadership skills to develop and execute upon a 3-year plan to promote continuous innovation and motivate team members to achieve defined milestones. 5. Demonstrated success in leading AP automation projects, including vendor and technologies evaluation, system selection, implementation, and optimization. 6. Prior experience in successfully leading the implementation and integration of AP automation software to ensure a smooth transition. 7. Proven leadership capability, efficient communication skills, and coaching skills to define and ensure proper training for AP staff on software tools, policies and processes. 8. Strong project management and change management skills related to system implementations. 9. Prior experience working across functions, business segments for a large company with oversees support. 10. Ability to analyze and improve complex processes using data-driven insights. 11. Experience presenting to executives and addressing concerns about hurdles in changing processes.
Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience in a health system, integrated delivery network (IDN), or multi-entity healthcare organization strongly preferred. • CPA, MBA, or relevant professional certification (e.g., APM, CAPA). • Six-Sigma Certified.

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $113,401.60 to $170,102.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Additionally, employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus program. Discretionary bonuses, if any, are based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to individual and Company performance.
